We will soon be launching MoistPal – the most interesting moisture content meter on the market

The collection of data on moisture content is an important function in our system SawInfo. To do so reliably requires a moisture content meter that can communicate with SawInfo easily and safely. The solution is called MoistPal, which we are launching later this autumn!

We have searched high and low for several years for a good moisture content meter but not found one that meets our requirements for easy handling. We therefore decided, almost exactly one year ago, to develop our own meter that would facilitate testing on a number of points, be easier to handle and have functions that could be connected to SawInfo in a much better way.

In the beginning of February, we launched the prototype for MoistPal, as our moisture content meter is called. We recently conducted our first ‘sharp’ measurement at a sawmill and transferred them via the web to SawInfo. It all worked well and we will now conduct ongoing tests for some time to come.

The work to finish the final version of the system, which will be launched later this autumn, is continuing in parallel.

MoistPal is used together with an app, and the measurement data are transferred via Bluetooth. This allows it to be connected direct to a smartphone, PC or other equipment that supports Bluetooth. The measurement data that are transferred can be stored automatically so that the user can print out reports directly after the measurement.
