DataPolarna has now developed a completely new feature in SIPal dealing with load planning.
“This new feature means that you now have a completely different way to plan for maximum use of containers (lorries and railway cars),” Joakim Sehlstedt explains. “It allows forklift operators to know how to load a container in an optimal manner, thus avoiding the need to distribute the packages in another container. This means that you can further reduce costs,” says Joakim.
The system is set up so that either the forklift operator can do planning, or in other cases the planning can be done centrally and sent to the forklift operator.
“The load planning feature is another example of how our efforts to place ourselves in workaday life out in the sawmills allows us to develop new modules that benefit our customers,” Joakim concludes.
