GPS Timber is a system for sawmills, which DataPolarna develops and Sokigo sells. More and more sawmills have become aware of GPS Timber and the benefits it offers for dynamic compartment management.
The system allows them to create a more dynamic way to sort timber. When a compartment is full, the timber, with the new solution, now moves on to the next vacant compartment. This permits a better work flow and makes it easy to switch between different timber classes.
For the latest in a series of new customers, the system has been delivered and installed at Sveden Trä and Stora Enso Gruvön, where we have integrated it with the timber sorting system from Limab.
